Safety guidelines
Both electric skateboarding and mountainboarding can be dangerous activities if not practiced safely. Four Wheel Ride recommends riders wear protective gear, such as helmets, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards. This equipment will minimise the level of injury done in case of an accident, however the risk of injury cannot be entirely eliminated. Four Wheel Ride also recommends riders ride within their capability and according to their level of experience. Riders should use the brakes to prevent getting out of control rather than using only when they are already out of control. Uncontrolled riding will likely result in serious injury. Four Wheel Ride does not wish any of it’s customers to experience serious injuries as a result of riding our boards and we therefore offer the following safety guidelines.

-
Always wear a helmet, wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads and flat soled shoes while riding. Make sure the helmet is properly adjusted and buckle fastened.
-
Assess all obstacles and potential dangers before riding.
-
Never ride at night or under poor visibility.
-
Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
-
Always ride in control and within the limits of your own ability.
-
Electric skateboards and mountainboards should not be ridden on public roads but may be ridden on footpaths so long as users ride in a careful and considerate way, ride at a speed that does not put other footpath users at risk, and give way to both pedestrians and drivers of mobility devices.

The following safety guidelines apply specifically to the riding of electric skateboards.
-
Children should not ride an electric skateboard unless actively supervised by an adult.
-
Do not ride on a wet surface.
-
To maximise signal between control and board, hold remote control below waist level at all times. Never raise remote control above head level while riding.
-
Avoid riding in areas near cell phone towers, radio towers, high voltage power lines, or other powerful electromagnetic equipment.
-
Do not disassemble motor, battery, or any electrical parts.
-
Avoid heavy impacts, water, sand/dirt and excessive heat.
